I'm renewing my free Spotify for another month (thus making it not free) - mostly for the mobile service. It's so nice to be able to listen to all that music in my car and such. Do you know an alternative?

Here's the Amazon page about it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&docId=1000718231

If you're a library card holder in Utah, you can see if your library is on here and search from there: https://secure7.libraryreserve.com/pioneerutah.lib.overdrive.com/99683B8F-A461-435F-96F1-9F62D61F55BC/10/545/en/SignIn.htm?URL=MyAccount%2ehtm

Hey, you need to come over and see the project my husbands been working on. He's been trying to make his own barefoot shoe and has been barefoot running in them for about six months or so. For the same reason you didn't buy the FiveFingers til they were half off, he's been trying to find an alternative. Let me know if you're interested. He'll talk your ear off and show you everything he's been doing, he loves it.

I am so excited to try this out, once I can hustle an invite. Don't happen to have one, do you? Looks like a great service, even the free model.

I'm jealous! The hangout feature sounds great, but how was the lag and video quality? Is it cool because its new, or because its practical?

Well said. I would never buy a Kindle though because I have to play angry birds in between every chapter of whatever book I'm reading.

We have transitioned to primarily online streaming, but there are still some movies that we want to buy. There are some movies that aren't commonly available and for streaming and movies tend to come and go online. I think this will get better with time but it will be many years before this is not an issue (if ever).

The other side that so far is keeping us buying disks is for when network connectivity is an issue. Sure we have it at home, but not throughout the home (for lack of computers).

I fully welcome purchasing downloads but until they get rid of the DRM limitations it is too restrictive for me. The music industry has taken years to get to this point and there are still challenges with it.

The other side that may limit progress is if more ISP's start charging for bandwidth. Movies take a lot. I doubt this will be a significant issue, but it certainly is a challenge.

All in all I think the world is heading the same direction as you, but widespread adoption will still take a number of years.

I agree, too often there is too much red tape and worry about maintaining professionalism. It makes it so dry that no one even reads short announcement emails. Add a little spice, add a little life.
